Code of Conduct
- Show respect and proper golf etiquette to all fellow golfers and staff.
- Show respect to equipment and facilities.
- Refrain from using abusive or foul language.
- Guests who do not conform to OBGC policies and rules may be asked to leave the property.
On-Course Rules
- Out of bounds is indicated by white stakes and bike path/fence around the property.
- Please repair all ball marks, replace divots, and rake bunkers.
- Do not enter areas that are marked Ground Under Repair.
- Rangers are available to advise and assist you, they also have full authority to enforce rules.
Pace of Play
- Please keep pace with the group in front of you, pace of play requirement to finish 18 holes is 4 hours and 20 minutes.
- Allow faster groups to play through if possible.
- Play “Ready Golf”, whoever is ready plays when safe to do so, there are no honors.
- Only one ball in play at a time. No practicing on the course.
Playing Requirements
- Every person entering the golf course must pay a greens fee and cart fee, if applicable.
- Golf Cart Requirements: All renters and drivers of the cart must be 16 years or older and provide proof of a valid Driver’s License.
- The driver of the golf cart is responsible for all and any damage to said cart.
- Staff will regulate all pairings, and reserve the right to group players together and share golf carts.
- Each golfer must pay to ride/use the golf cart. Individuals not wanting to share a golf cart may pay an additional fee. Ride along and/or spectators must pay riding fee.
- Golf Carts must be kept at least 30 feet away from putting greens.
- Please keep carts away from tee boxes, sand traps, and water hazards.
- Proper dress code required – shirts must be of full length to belt line. Shirt for men must have sleeves and collar. No denim allowed. No metal spikes.
- Each player must have own clubs and a golf bag. Golf clubs are available to rent.
- No fivesomes are allowed.
Rainchecks
- Rainchecks can be issued for any reason. Rainchecks are not offered for twilight tee times. Rainchecks issued are for a dollar value and not a number of holes. Rainchecks are prorated per hole based on the dollar amount the golfer paid at check-in and expire at the end of the year they were issued.
Alcohol Policy
- In accordance with state codes, all alcoholic beverages consumed on the property must be purchased from the Oak Brook Grill.
- Staff has the absolute right to refuse service to any guest based on individuals’ apparent state of intoxication.
Safety
- All golfers and golf carts must exit the golf course and be returned prior to darkness.
- Storm warning – once you hear 1 long blast, it is important that you seek shelter at the Clubhouse – shelters or trees are dangerous areas during a storm. Once you hear 3 short blasts, that is an all clear to continue play where play was suspended.
- All customers are responsible for private property damage, bodily damage, golf carts and/or any damages to equipment or property owned or leased by the Oak Brook Golf Club. Any damage caused by errant golf balls is the responsibility of the person that hit the golf ball.
- Plant fertilizers, pesticides and plant protectives are periodically applied to the course. Contact the Superintendent for further information.
Lost and Found
- Oak Brook Golf Club is not responsible for items left in carts or on the course. Any items found in carts or on the course will be placed in the Golf Shop lost and found.
